Use 3M 4000 UV instead. Good in sunlight\u00a0and removable in the future.<\/p><p>Use wide masking on either side of the track for easier clean-up.\u00a0<\/p><p>Several small rags are better than one large one and better than paper towels<\/p><p>Nylon gloves resist\u00a0acetone\u00a0best if you use it for clean-up<\/p><p>Run a drill into the fastener\u00a0holes to clear away old sealant\u00a0<\/p><p>Add a countersink to the holes if they don&#8217;t have them already. This adds a &#8220;well&#8221; to increase surface area for\u00a0the sealant<\/p><p>Check the washers on the underside for cupping. If they have it, replace\u00a0them with new stronger ones.
