The Yonkers Lions Club is committed to creating meaningful change through hands-on service and impactful partnerships. Over the years, our contributions have touched countless lives in Yonkers and beyond, addressing needs in health, education, community support, and global initiatives. Guided by our motto “We Serve,” each project reflects our dedication to compassion, unity, and action.

Our Contributions Include:

  • Yonkers Public Library – Supporting literacy and educational programs for the community.
  • Yonkers General Hospital & St. John’s Riverside Hospital – Providing resources to enhance patient care and medical services.
  • Yonkers YMCA – Encouraging youth development, healthy living, and community engagement.
  • Yonkers Police Athletic League – Promoting positive youth activities and mentorship programs.
  • American Diabetes Association – Raising awareness and supporting research to fight diabetes.
  • My Sister’s Place Women’s Shelter – Offering hope      and assistance to women and children in crisis.
  • Yonkers Big Brothers Big Sisters – Mentoring youth to help them reach their full potential.
  • Lions Clubs International Foundation – Contributing to global humanitarian efforts.
  • Guiding Eyes for the Blind: Guide Dog Training – Empowering individuals with vision impairment         through trained guide dogs.
  • Vacation Camp for the Blind – Providing enriching experiences for the visually impaired.
  • Covenant House – Supporting homeless and at-risk youth.
  • Eyeglasses Collection Program – Collecting and redistributing used eyeglasses to underserved communities in third world countries.
  • Donated Handicapped Lift Van – Assisting mobility for residents of a local nursing home.
  • Queens Daughters Day Nursery – Supporting early childhood education and care.
  • Thanksgiving Dinner Baskets – Donating meals to local food pantries for families in need.
  • Habitat for Humanity – Partnering to provide affordable housing solutions.
  • Military Gifting Program – Sending personal hygiene and comfort items to troops deployed overseas.
